Yo creo que uno de los grandes éxitos de Panerai es dar contenido a su reloj, un contenido que se transforma en el alma del concepto de heroísmo.
Al margen de que es un reloj con una estética consabida y atractiva, Panerai ha sabido deslindarse de las connotaciones políticas que portaba la X-Mas y la segunda guerra mundial, y transmitir en su publicidad la idea del héroe. A mi juicio el concepto de héroe o del heroísmo se puede extrapolar a la sociedad moderna con sinónimos como audacia, valor, ánimo o espíritu intrépido. Y es que para vivir en esta sociedad moderna no cabe duda que hay que tener valor y espíritu intrépido para ir todos los días al curro.
Por otra parte observo que casi todos los productos industriales dentro del mundo de la relojería, comienzan por el producto y no por la idea. A mi juicio es mas importante transmitir la idea para que el producto se desarrolle paralelamente, que empezar por el producto y darle contenido a base de marketing disperso. Bueno es mi opinión.

Es el logo que usaban las unidades aerotransportadas estadounidenses en la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Su lema era "Death From Above" (muerte desde el cielo) y el relojito de marras es un homenaje a las susodichas unidades.
